Job Collector Gmail Read Only
Job Collector Gmail Read Only is a private tool for managing one person's own job search. It is intended for personal use by its owner and is not offered to the public or to other users.
Current status: Gmail authorization and Gmail mail reading have not been completed yet. The features described below as planned are still in development and are not live.
What the application is for
The application is designed to help the owner keep a tracker of job applications up to date by reading job-related email in the owner's own Gmail account.
Google access requested
- The application requests only one Gmail OAuth scope:
gmail.readonly. - This scope lets the application read email. It is not used to send, delete or modify email, and the application has no feature that does so.
Planned functionality (in development)
- Recognizing recruiting progress in email, such as Interview, Rejected or Offer.
- Matching that email to an existing job application record.
- Applying a change to the tracker only after the owner reviews and confirms it.
These functions are not complete. Nothing in this section should be read as a description of a feature that is already running on Gmail data.
